Grief Quilt

Nancy B. lost her son to cancer.  The ladies around Trackside Quilting created blocks to make a quilt for Nancy.

I think all of the fabrics I used in my block are from Sue C.

QBA President's Blocks

I created 2 spool blocks for the Quilt By Association President's Block.  I was under the assumption that the quilt was to be presented to the President at the December meeting.  That did not happen.

I turned the blocks into the coordinator at the May QBA meeting.

Fancy Forest

Lyn B. approached me about creating a quilt for her new upcoming niece.  She selected which pattern she would like created.  She chose Fancy Forest by Elizabeth Hartman.  Lyn, and her husband, Josh, decided on the yellow, orange colors for the quilt.

I love this pattern.  It is very well written and tested.  I loved it!

The quilt was finished in May 2017.

Lone Starburst

MaryKay G. is organizing 2 quilts - one for Kristi B. and the other for Colleen S.  They both battled, and won, the fight with ovarian cancer in 2017.

I had the boys sign the block for Kristi B. because she is so nice to the boys whenever she sees them.  And they know her.  They were happy to add their names.

The pattern is the Lone Starburst Paper Piecing from Craftsy.

President's Block

Tami F., as the Yellowstone Valley Quilt Guild Vice President, organized the President's quilt for 2017.  She had us create a small, paper pieced signature block.

The finished quilt will be presented to President Sue K. at the December guild meeting.

Block Exchange

I created a Fancy Fox per the request of Carol Jensen through the Yellowstone Valley Quilt Guild block exchange.

The pattern is from Fancy Forest by Elizabeth Hartman.

I turned this block in for credit at the November 2017 meeting.

Block Exchange

Through Yellowstone Valley Quilt Guild, I started another round of block exchange.  I created a nine patch for Lee K.  She provided the center piece.  We were to use blue in the other patches.

I took this block into the exchange table at the November guild meeting.

Primitive Gatherings

The raffle quilt for the Town and Country Guild in Joliet is Words to Live By from Primitive Gatherings.

(Picture from that pattern.)

I helped with the quilt by hand embroidering 2 blocks.

Claire W. machine embroidered the words in the centers of the blocks.  Karol H. is running the committee to put the quilt together.  I suspect that Karol H. will also quilt the quilt.

Tickets will start to be sold in January.  The quilt drawing will be held the weekend of June 23, 2018.

Snowflake Ornament

We were to create a hand made Christmas ornament for exchange for the Girls Gone Wild Quilt Retreat in November 2017.

I created the snowflake from the Blueberry Backroads 001 Happy Holidays pattern designed by Sara Hardwig.

When Dillon saw the ornament finished, he wanted a whole set for himself.

Mary J. won this ornament.  I won the silver spoon painted by Tami from Great Falls.
