Halloween Mats

I originally created these small mats as part of my thread demo for longarm group.  It would have been nice to have them done by Halloween of this year but that did not happen.  I did get the binding hand sewn down the first week of October.

The spider web is quilted using the green Sunburst thread from Superior.  It is supposed to change color from white in the house to green in the sunlight.  I do believe this does happen.  But I don't think a spider web to be displayed at night during Halloween is the best use for this thread.  I will dream up some other project to use the Sunburst thread.  But this worked for my demo.

I used NiteLite thread from Superior to create this skull.  It glows in the dark!  It is really cool.  Keegan said he was scared of it when it first glowed but he is fine with it now.
